The IELTS Course Prepares students for the IELTS examination
(International English Language Testing System).
Five hours of lessons each day, between 9.00 and
15.30.
The morning class teaches general English language
skills at the appropriate level, and in the afternoon class students
have continuous examination practice.
Students who are already Upper Intermediate Level may
be considered for entry to the afternoon examination practice class
only.
Arrangements are made for students to take the
examination when the teachers assess that they are likely to obtain
the required result - for example, a minimum level of 5.5 is required for entry onto the Abacus College University Foundation Programme or A Level courses.
The IELTS course may be taken for any period from 2 - 11
weeks. The length of the course will depend on the English language
level of a student on entry to the course, and the result required in
the IELTS examination. |
